Requirements
Please be sure you have reviewed the program details and eligibility requirements listed below before applying. You are eligible to apply if you complete the following conditions by the end of the quarter in which you plan to apply.
- BIM majors: ICS 21, 22, 52 or In4matx 41, 42, 43 (In4matx 43 can be substituted with ICS 52 - S'11 only), Mgmt 30AB, Math or ICS 6D, Math 6G or Math 3A
- BMC majors: ICS 21, 22, 23, 51, 52, Math 6D or ICS 6D, Math 6G or Math 3A
- CS, ICS majors: ICS 21, 22, 23, 51, 52, Math 6D or ICS 6D, Math 6G or Math 3A
- CSE majors: CSE 21, 22, 23, 25, 31, Math 6D or ICS 6D, Math 6G or Math 3A
- Informatics majors: Inf 41, 42, 43, 44, 111, 121, and 131
Appiicants must also have the following grade point averages:
- An overall GPA of at least 3.2
- A GPA of at least 3.5 in the courses listed above
Application
The application has two parts:
- Online Application: The application period for the 2011-2012 Honors Program ends on Monday, June 27, 2011. The Online Application will ask for your GPA in the required courses, the names of your faculty references, and a one-page statement about yourself and your intellectual achievements, accomplishments and goals. You may wish to indicate any research projects (CS 199) in which you have been actively involved.
- Faculty References: As part of your application, you will need two faculty references. Please direct them to the Faculty References page so they may answer a few short questions about their experience with you.
